AdoptaPlatoon Mission

Through AdoptaPlatoon (www.adoptaplatoon.org) the family of Our Savior will begin a lasting relationship with a member of the military who is protecting our country. The first thing we will be sending will be 40 boxes of candy canes (tie a red, white and blue ribbon around a box of candy canes along w/ a holiday greeting card with our name and address). In a few weeks, we will be given the name of a soldier, which is when our real ministry will begin. Look for additional information weekly in our Sunday worship announcements.

Highway Cleanup Mission

We held our final highway cleanup for 2008. Along with multiple bags of trash from along Highway 150, we found a chair, a styrofoam cooler, and a tailpipe. Be ready for the four events next year as we once again work to keep St. Joe clean.

Advent Worship Opportunities

The season of Advent begins Sunday November 30th with mid-week Advent services @ 6:30pm on Wednesday December 3, 10, 17. The theme for the three mid-week worship opportunities will be the INCARNATION: the Humility, the Personal Union, and the Joy.
If you can, please meet at church @ 6pm so we can set up for worship, and please assist afterwards to reset for the next day of classes.

Confirmation Classes

Confirmation class for 7th and 8th graders are on Sunday afternoons. The class will be at the home of Pastor from 1-2:30 pm. Confirmation for second year students will be on Pentecost- May 31, 2009.

Food Pantry Monthly Collection

The St. Joseph food pantry has been "hit" very hard recently and are in need of continued assistance. In these days in which we all feel the pinch from soaring gasoline and grocery prices, please remember those who struggle daily for food needed to live. The last Sunday of every month, please remember to bring non-perishable items to church with you for distribution through the St. Joseph food bank.
