“TRADITIONAL WORSHIP IN A CONTEMPORARY WORLD”
The family of Our Savior, a mission church of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS), welcomes you to our webpage. You are visiting us for a reason. You may be looking for a new church or seeking something missing in your life. We can provide both for you.
We are one of the youngest churches in the LCMS (over 6000 congregations and 2.5 million strong) and the youngest Christian Church in the area having had our very first service on Christmas Eve 2006. What could be a better occasion than to have the birth of a new family in Christ Jesus on the very day the birth of the Savior of the world is celebrated worldwide?
What may be missing in your life? The inerrant, inspired word of God (2 Timothy 3:15). What is the inspired Word of God? The truth, given by the Holy Spirit, to mankind and delivered to you in a traditional worship style.
A mission church is a church in which you cannot hide and are missed when you are not here. Our Savior is one where everyone knows your name. A mission church is just what it sounds like- every family member is engaged in the Great Commission of Jesus (Matthew 28:19-20)- sharing God’s Word of baptism for the forgiveness of sins. Why is this important? It is important, because in a world that desires “change”, one thing never changes- the love of God for those who believe in Him and come to Him in the death and resurrection of His Son Jesus.
How would you describe the love of God? “This is love: not that we have loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the payment for our sins. Dear friends, if this is the way God loved us, we must also love each other.” 1 John 4:10-11
Our Savior is in mission to the community and always looking for ways to serve our neighbors. Current missions include: Bible study @ the Village Apartments; monthly collections for the food pantry; Highway cleanup of 150; welcome bag ministry for new residents, and Adopt-A-Soldier.
We have no church building, but are blessed to worship on Sunday mornings at the new St. Joseph Middle School band room. With no church building, we have no debt and can focus our attention upon serving our Lord. The church office is in the home of the pastor with Bible studies, small groups, and other fellowship events held in neighborhood homes. We are a part of the community much like the early Christian church.
Come and worship with us.
